On first glance, the movie has a lot of elements in it that remind me of Furngully. You have a magical world living inside a forest, with tiny people and talking animals. But, that's where the comparison ends. Whereas Furngully was a piece of dogpoop, this movie is, as the title claims it to be, quite epic.
You can clearly tell that this movie has been made by the people behind Ice Age and Rio, as the animation has a knack for being awesome when it matters. At least, from what we have seen from the trailer above.
Storywise, things seem to be rather standard. Thar be a war in the forest, and a human, teenaged girl gets involves. I'm betting though, we're going to see some very fun elements to really make it stand out when it comes to the story. That, and some pretty good humor.
