On second thought … Ladies and gentlemen, let’s do some Trailer Hopping!
It’s got Samuel L. Jackson in it. And Will Ferrel. These two actors might be this movies only saving grace.
The trailer shows us two bad-ass cops that have the city handed to them on a silver platter because of how good they are. If you find the pictures of these guys in the dictionary, they would be plastered all over the stereotype section. They’re good, they know it, they flaunt it and they’re bullies. And no, these guys aren’t Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrel. NO, this super duo exists out of the always awesome Samuel L. Jackson and the muscles from Wrestling: The Rock. Marky Mark and Willy … they’re the other guys. One guy makes you wonder how the hell he is still alive and the other one did something bad and is now stuck with the hopeless one. These two represent the bottom of the barrel. And when the hopeless cop stumbles on a case, funny antics ensue.
Myself, I’m not really impressed by this one. The only reason I would see this movie is to see Samuel L. Jackson kick so much ass, even I’d feel it. Sure, there might be a couple of shits and giggles in there, but overall … yeah, I just don’t see it guys. However, there’s still the tiniest shimmer of hope as this is only a teaser trailer. If what we’ve seen so far only teases the humor in this movie, meaning we’ve yet to see it, then this might still work out.
