Life after Nolan and the Justice League

Photobucket

One thing that the nerd world has been crying out for are movies of the Justice League and The Avengers. There has been word of an Avengers movie for years now, dating all the way back to Iron Man, where Nick Fury visited mister Tony Stark saying that they needed to talk about something called the Avengers Initiative. Hope arose for a Justice League movie as well. No such luck I'm afraid until a recent interview with Warner Bros. Pictures president Jeff Robinov. He said that a movie is in the works, that the script is being written and that they are shooting for a 2013 release.

In other news, Batman is getting a reboot! Again. After Nolan's run of the Batman franchise, he will withdraw in to a producer's role and let someone else take over and take the franchise in a whole new direction. Maybe one leaning closer to the Batman we'll see in the Justice League movie, but we'll see about that when we get there.
My opinion is that they should just stay in the universe that Nolan has created but acknowledge that it is indeed a whole new take on the series. It's being done in the comics so why not in the movies?
