Update July 1 2010

I'm still a contributor over at Teh Pwn Shop, which is still offering awesome content of other people as well. Right now, the only two show of mine that isn't on there is tHop. Now, I plan to change that one day, if given permission of course, but I'm not sure how yet. I'll just have to think about that for a moment.

As for what else the future holds: I've been planning to make a blog mini-series about Super Sentai and Kamen Rider, reviewing them individually as a series and one season in particular. Also, seeing as I'm kind of dry on new games at the moment, I was thinking of bringing back LGR with Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank and Sly Cooper.

Of course there's also gonna be some tHops and JAG's along the way. Plus maybe another Dutch article, to work on my skills in my birth language. Seriously, my articles are SO much better in English than in Dutch.

As for what's been going on with me personally. Well, I need a job. So when the ball finally gets rolling on that, and I finally get that letter to go to this job orientation center, things might go a bit slow when it comes to pushing out content. Although I am hoping that the letter won't come any time soon as I need to work on my health a little bit before that. This heath isn't helping one bit either.

Next week there's the World Festival of Folklore here so expect a report from that.

That's it for me for now, so I'll see you later! And thanks for coming here :D

News Trek: The next Generation

Capcom’s COO, David Reese, believes that 2012 will be an interesting year. The Mayan’s aren’t involved with this particular prediction as mister Reese says that a new generation of consoles would come then. Until April last year, it had apparently been pretty close or the world would have seen a new generation of consoles already, with Kinect and Move as main reason.
However, he says that the Kinect and the Move are nothing more than a stop-gap, a life extender like the Sega 32x. He says that the money goes to games like Wii Fit, Brain Training and Rock Star.
Let’s dive in to this statement and see why this man is dead wrong and why this generation should be here to stay!

tHop - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Once upon a time I found myself reading a book. This book was hyped and praised at my school, yet I didn’t think too much of it at the time. The only reason I bought the book was because my interest was piqued. Why were all my classmates so hung up on this book and its sequels?
Two weeks later I had finished all the books of the series that were out at the time. I loved these books. Every single letter was pure and concentrated awesome sauce. For the sequels to come, I picked up either on day one or as close to day one as possible.
As with every good book series, this one as well had been given an adaptation to the big screen. Movie after another came, each time faithfully maturing alongside the book series. Though not exactly the world’s most faithful adaptations when it came to the story, it really tried its best to capture the magic. And now, 2010, these chapters will come to a final close. The last book had already been written and read. And now it’s time for the final two movies to be shot and seen. Welcome to tHop and let’s go hunting for some Deathly Hallows!

tHop - Red

Ladies and Ge … eh, Fuck it. Roll the title!

tHop - Red

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=67262

The movie is about a man named Frank Moses who is a retired agent for the C.I.A.. Heavy stuff, I know, but it’s not over yet. Because one day, a high tech super assassin comes a knocking on his door to kill him. Now, with his own life and the life of the woman he cares for endangered, he re-assembles his old team to try and fight for their survival.
Based on the DC Comics title, this movie will prove that it’s better to be a comic book adaptation than a videogame adaptation. Not only did the trailer show AAA talent, it also showed some impressive storytelling and genuinely funny humor. Honestly, I’m happy that I saw this trailer. Makes it easier to forget about The Green Hornet’s trailer.

At any rate, the second paragraph is where I usually discuss my opinions on the matter. But, all I really need to do is show you the names of the actors in this movie. Get ready because this will blow your mind:

Bruce Willis,
Helen Mirren,
Morgan Freeman,
John Malkovich,
Karl Urban,
Brian Cox,
Richard Dreyfuss,
Ernest Borgnine,
Julian McMahon,
James Remar,
Felicia Day.

I’m literally crying out of joy at the moment to see a movie with so much awesome talent in it.

tHop - The Green Hornet

tHop - The Green Hornet

Now, if there is one franchise that’s been just outside my radar then it has to be this one. I’ve always known that it existed yet I’ve never seen anything about except some footage here and there. But, here we are, 2010, and the trailer is released for the re-imagining of the franchise. So let’s get a hoppin’!
