JAG - Nightwing

Photobucket

Richard "Dick" Grayson, age twelve, is the son to John and Mary Grayson. His family was a part of a traveling circus, acting as The Flying Graysons. One day, young Richard overheard mob boss Tony Zucco extort the circus master, who refused the offer. That same night, Richard saw his parents fall to their death.
Millionaire Bruce Wayne took pity on the boy, seeing a kindred soul within him. For Bruce lost his parents to crime as well. One thing lead to another, and Richard ran in to Batman whilst investigating Tony Zucco for revenge. Together they took down Zucco.
It was then that Richard learned Bruce Wayne was in fact the legendary Dark Knight known as Batman. Bruce then made the boy an offer he couldn't refuse. Born was Robin, the Boy Wonder. Robin was chosen as his superhero name, for his mother used to called him her little robin.

Time passed and young master Dick became very well trained in crime-fighting and detective work. However, one day, The Joker caught him off guard and shot him in the shoulder. Bruce fired Richard as his sidekick, who then realized he was grown up. Being 17 years old, he tried to live a normal life. But failed.
Rejoining The Teen Titans, he once again found his self worth. However, Bruce did not like it and told him that if he wanted to continue as a crimefighter, he would have to retire his Robin mantle.

Not knowing what to do, Richard asked Superman what to do. He told him a story of a Kryptonian cast out by his family, just like Richard, who dreamed of a world ruled by Justice. Taking the mantle of defender, the man helped the innocent people of Krypton. His name? Nightwing.
Richard donned that very name, created a new uniform and rejoined the Teen Titans, eventually becoming its leader.

Many years have passed and Bruce Wayne was no more. Batman was dead, and so the battle for the cowl began. But who better to take over than Richard Grayson, the first who had donned the Robin mantle? And so Nightwing was burried, and Batman rose once again.

Flashpoint, a super event in the universe, created a split timeline. Whilst in one universe, Richard Grayson would continue his crime fighting as The Batman, in the new one he was still Nightwing.

At the risk of people thinking I made just another Batman signature, I decided to go with Nightwing. Though I did wanted to do one with Richard as The Batman. Maybe I'll do that one later. Still, I'm particularly fond of this character. Hell, I'm fond of the entire batman universe. It's grown on me a lot lately. I'm even considering wasting money on that there Nightwing DLC of Arkham City.
